Asana also is a postures practiced in yoga. It is comprise the third limb (one of the eight branches of yoga). In the yogis view, our body is a temple of spirit (a holy place for our spirit). And also the care of which is an important stage of our spiritual growth. Through the practice of asanas, we develop the habit of discipline and the ability to concentrate. The habit of discipline and the ability to concentrate are also good for meditation. An asana is a body posture or pose, originally and still a general term for a seated meditation pose. Asanas in hatha yoga and modern yoga are kind of exercises, to any type of pose or position, adding reclining, standing, inverted, twisting, and also balancing poses. The Yoga rules of Patanjali define “asana” as “[a pose that] is steady and comfortable”. Mr. Patanjali mentions the ability to sit for extended periods as one of the eight limbs of his system. Asanas are called yoga poses or yoga postures in English.
